Timeout everyone! I’m taking a break from my TransRockies posting (Two more posts are coming in the next few days.) to comment about the white crap that’s been intermittently falling from the sky.
Don’t think that my cross country team and I didn’t feel the sleet balls bouncing off our foreheads during practice a few days ago. And, you can’t fool me, I saw the snow-covered (Not just snow-capped, but snow-covered.) mountains with my own two eyes yesterday! Finally, I used windshield wipers to wipe away slushy snowflakes while driving home from a recent cross country meet.
It last snowed on the 11th and 12th of June, so it’s just a bit too soon for this. Or, maybe, it’s just me that’s not ready.

Ooo. Ooo. We had snow driving back home from TransRockies through the high country in Montana. Then, when we arrived home them thar’ hills were snow covered. Yesterday, this years local trail race featured 10-15cm at the summit and highpoint of the race!! Yiihaw! Mush, little husky – Mush!!!

Send some 2000 miles east. I only saw 3″ total last winter. I miss snow. 🙁

Maybe it’s time that your xc team turn into a Nordic xc team.
Hey, SG, this is the US, we don’t have any idea how much 10-15 cm is. Well, except maybe Bryon.
